Post-Op

The surgeon called at almost exactly 6:00 PM as the team was finishing up the last stretch of stitches. Although the procedure was tougher than expected, he still feels it went well and that Justin will recover nicely. (I do have a few more details, but I’ll wait to share until Justin is awake enough to know first)

For about two hours in recovery, the OR nurse said Justin was just snoozing away, a lot longer than they were expecting, but this is the norm with him. On the flip side, when they were bringing him back upstairs I could hear him down the hallway talking the their ears off. Lol! He is still very sedated, asking tons of questions about the procedure and those of you who have reached out. The nurse is setting him up in the room with all his fluids and a new round of pain meds. The good news, he’s already asking for mashed potatoes.

I’m hoping he gets some decent sleep. As for me, I might stay up all night and praise God for yet another blessing!
